Think Twice before You Update Your WordPress

By on 1-23-2011 in WordPress

Think twice before you update your WordPress! Conveniently with a click of a button, this is what users will usually do whenever there is an update notification for your WordPress or plugins.

Before long after the update, some of your existing features for your blog may not be working properly or even worst totally not working! This is a common mistake made by most users. We simply forgotten that most of the WordPress plugins require little or some customization work when we setup our blog initially. Therefore, the customization work may need to be redone again each time after the update.

My advice is don’t update your WordPress so frequently to cease the amount of customization work involved after each update. If your plugins are working fine, you may consider to leave them as they’re. Most importantly, do a backup before each update.
